Bethlehem Music Association’s Music Teacher of the Month is Lillierose Ruby-Eck.

BMA: How long have you been playing the viola?
Lillierose Ruby-Eck: I started violin in 5th grade, however I switched to viola in high school when I learned about the college scholarship opportunities for violists.
BMA: Music teachers in Bethlehem have a busy schedule. Tell us what classes or events you’re looking forward to this year and next.
Lillierose Ruby-Eck: Rehearsals are my favorite piece of the puzzle in elementary strings. I’m so excited we get to have them again. I love having the full fifth-grade string community in one room. I’m looking forward to the virtual winter concert in elementary strings.
BMA: who are your favorite violists? Can you recommend an album or concert video we should listen to?
Lillierose Ruby-Eck: I love Sarah Chang’s performance of the Bruch Violin Concerto in G minor. I appreciate that the Vitamin String Quartet records popular songs to inspire future musicians to pick up string instruments!
Fun fact, this photo is from Ms. Giampaolo’s wedding! (General Music Teacher)
